The development of the Royal Oak area in Northwest Calgary required the design and constrution of stormwater faclitity and trunk sewers within the exisiting Rocky Ridge Road.
The project involved a number of challenges including co-ordination between numerous Landowners, Developers, the City, and Alberta Environment. The trunk sewers located the exisiting Rocky Ridge Road were ten metres in depth, requiring special care in the design and construction. The stormwater facility was developed from a natural pond located on the edge of the development.
