Shepard Regional Centre

The Regional Centre includes a full range of commercial services such as food stores, department stores, warehouse stores, building supply stores, retail stores, entertainment centre, gas stations, auto repair, auto sales, banks, restaurants and the potential for virtually all regional scale commerical services as market demand warrants. The combined effors of the Stage 1 and Stage 2 areas and the Stage 3 office park will produce a Regional Commercial Centre appropriate for the growing population in southeast Calgary. Services provided include the design of major roadways, such as Deerfoot Trail, 130th Avenue, and 52nd Street.

Stage 1 of Shepard Regional Centre is operating today. Known as South Trail Crossing it is anchored by the 50,000 sq ft Calgary Co-op Store. This stage provided many challenges from a stormwater retention facility to negotiating off-site utility trunks with the adjacent developers.

Progressive Engineering provided complete engineering services for the planning and design of Stage 2 and Stage 3.
