Southbank Commercial Centre

Located within the South Okotoks Industrial Lands, the Southbank Commercial Centre is a ±31.46 acre regional commercial centre which will service consumers from Okotoks and the surrounding districts.

This site will be developed over three phases and focuses directly on pedestrian and vehicular circulation systems within and around the commercial centre. Pedestrians can access the commercial centre buildings from municipal sidewalks integrated within a system which is separate yet adjacent to vehicle systems with minimal vehicle interactions at intersections.

Southbank Boulevard connects the pedestrian and vehicular systems with the north and south parcels of Southbank Commercial Centre. Patrons from the highway network will utilize access from Highway 2A/7 until the 32nd Street Bridge is completed, whereupon the majority of traffic will access from the north and south along 32nd Street.

Utilizing naturalized low maintenance landscaping LID measures, Southbank Commercial Centre captures stormwater runoff maximizing passive irrigation during dry periods while providing shade and enhancing the pedestrian's passage through the commercial centre.

Southbank Commercial Centre is a community retail oriented commercial development adjacent to the Cimarron neighbourhood and the newly planned Okotoks Industrial Park.
