Progressive Engineering has been at the forefront of the industry in dealing with the ever changing regulatory requirements of Stormwater Management. Over the past several years we have seen reductions in both allowable release rates and total runoff volumes that require a new approach, so that developable land is not lost. Low Impact Development (LID) techniques and Best Management Practices (BMP’s) techniques are implemented which not only address green initiatives but can also reduce costs for the developer. A new commercial development in the City of Calgary falls within the

West Nose Creek catchment area. New stormwater management regulations in this catchment require that both pre-development flows and volumes be maintained meaning this project will be one of the first projects in the City that will have restrictions on volume. Through innovative stormwater facility and pond design - wet/dry/infiltration, efficient reuse of material such as gravel that was excavated from the facility was used as the base for all roads within the subdivision. Progressive will develop a stormwater management plan to meet your projects needs.
